Siddhartha Overseas

Our place is J-65 in Laxmi Nagar. It’s a pretty packed neighborhood, and finding our door can be a little tricky the first time because of how the buildings are clustered together. Siddhartha Overseas is a small operation. We work out of this space, handling international orders and local sourcing. It’s not a fancy setup. We have some computers, a couple of heavy-duty staplers for the packaging, and stacks of boxes waiting to be filled. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. My day starts with checking the messages that came in overnight from different time zones. Since we’re in a residential-commercial mix, you can hear kids playing or street vendors shouting their prices while we’re trying to finish our paperwork. It’s just the atmosphere of the place. We don't have a big sign out front or anything. Most of our business comes from people we’ve worked with for years. We focus on the details, like making sure the weight on the box matches the invoice exactly. If we make a mistake, we just fix it and move on. It’s practical work. We aren't trying to be anything other than what we are—a small team in Laxmi Nagar getting things sent across the border. It’s a lot of mundane tasks that add up to a finished shipment by the end of the day. We finish when the work is done, no sooner than that.
