We’ve been over here at D-9 in Lakshmi Nagar Gali Number 1 for a while now. Prakash Catering Services is just what we do. It started out small, mostly just helping out with food for people we knew nearby. The kitchen is always busy. There’s usually a lot of noise and the smell of spices drifting down the lane. Most days we are just packing up crates or checking the burners. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just the workspace here in the gali. People around Lakshmi Nagar know where to find us if they need a hand with a function. It's not a complicated setup. We just show up, set the tables, and make sure there’s enough for everyone to eat. Sometimes the traffic in Gali Number 1 makes it hard to get the van out, but we manage. We’ve seen a lot of parties and weddings come and go. Dealing with food is hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we know. My cousin helps out with the deliveries mostly. We keep things simple because that's what works. If you walk past D-9, you'll probably see us loading something up. We don't spend much time on the computer or making flyers. Usually, it's just someone calling us because they saw us at another event. That’s how it goes in this neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and get the cooking done. It can be exhausting when we have three bookings in one weekend, but we push through and make it happen.
