Olive Bar And Kitchen

We are based at 43, United India Apartments, which is in Mayur Vihar Phase-1 Extension in Delhi-91. This isn't the actual restaurant where the cooking happens, but it’s the office where we handle all the management and paperwork. It’s a regular apartment that we’ve converted into a workspace. It feels very different from a kitchen; it’s quiet and full of computers and printers instead of stoves and pots. We spend our days here talking to suppliers and making sure the payroll is ready for the staff. The apartment complex is a nice place, with some trees around and a bit of a neighborhood feel. We can hear people living their lives in the other units, which makes it feel less like a cold office. We have a small team here and we just get on with our tasks. There aren't any corporate meetings or big presentations. We just sit down, look at the accounts, and make sure everything is running like it should. Sometimes the printer jams or we run out of ink, and someone has to go out and get supplies. It’s a very normal way of working. We don't use fancy titles or anything. We just focus on the details that keep the business side of the kitchen healthy. It’s a good spot to work from and we like being in Mayur Vihar where things are a bit more relaxed than the city center.
