Mitra Di Chaap

Mitra Di Chaap is over in Mayur Vihar Phase I at Pratap Nagar 189. It’s a small place, nothing too grand to look at. We mostly just focus on getting the chaap right for the customers. We’ve got the tandoors going and the spice mixes ready every afternoon before the rush starts. Being in Pratap Nagar, we get a lot of locals who just want something decent to eat on their way home. We don’t have a massive menu, just the things we know we can make well. It can get pretty smoky inside when we’re busy, so we usually have the fans going full blast. It’s a simple setup. We have a few tables but many people just take their food to go in their cars or back home. We’ve been here for a bit now and have seen the neighborhood change, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We use the same recipes we started with when we first opened. My brother and I usually handle most of the heavy lifting. It’s a lot of prep work in the mornings, cutting things up and getting the marinades sorted. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. Word of mouth from people in Mayur Vihar is usually how new folks find out about us. It’s just a regular shop where we work hard and hope people like what we’re cooking. Sometimes we close up early if we run out of stock.
