Chocoladella

Chocoladella is run out of No. 86 in the Deshbandhu Apartments, No. 15 Ip Extension. It’s a bit different because we’re located within an apartment complex, so it feels more like a home than a traditional shop. We spend most of our time in the kitchen area, working with chocolate and other ingredients. There’s almost always the smell of something sweet in the air, which the neighbors probably don't mind too much when they pass by. It’s a small-scale operation. We didn't want to open a big store on a main road; we preferred keeping it quiet and focused on the making. Most of our orders come from people nearby or friends who have tried our stuff before and liked it. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who really like working with sweets. It gets very busy during the holidays when everyone wants gifts, and the kitchen gets pretty crowded with boxes and ribbons. We try to keep things simple and delicious without overcomplicating the recipes. It’s a lot of trial and error to get things just right. We aren't trying to be a massive factory or a big brand. We just like the idea of making something people actually enjoy eating. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even if it means we have a lot of dishes to wash at the end of every shift. We just keep things moving.
