Hannanjee Art Export

We’ve been operating Hannanjee Art Export out of 2/82, Lalita Park in Laxmi Nagar for quite a while now. It’s a bit of a maze getting back here, but once you find us, it’s usually a hive of activity. We deal with a lot of handcrafted items, so there’s always bubble wrap and tape lying around. Packing things for export is a big part of what we do, and it takes up a lot of space in our small office. Lalita Park is a crowded neighborhood, so we are always coordinating with the van drivers about where they can actually park without blocking the whole street. We don’t have a polished corporate image. Our walls are covered in shipping schedules and old photos of pieces we’ve sent out over the years. Some days are really quiet and we just organize the inventory, and other days it feels like everyone wants something at the same time. We try to keep things simple and honest. If something is going to take two weeks, we say it’ll take two weeks. We don’t really go for fancy talk or big sales pitches. It’s just about getting these beautiful things from our spot in Laxmi Nagar to wherever they need to go in the world. We’ve had a few broken items over the years, which taught us to be very careful with the crates and the wooden boxes.
