Handicraft Trade Centre

Handicraft Trade Centre is set up at E-89 in Kondli. It’s more of a functional space than a pretty one. We use the area to store and organize all the different handcrafted pieces that come through here. There are shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, filled with boxes and wrapped items. The lighting isn't great, just some basic tubes that flicker a bit when you first turn them on. We spend a lot of the day unpacking crates and checking that nothing got broken during the move. Kondli is a busy area with a lot of small businesses, so there is always some kind of noise coming from the street. We have a small table where we do the packing, and there’s always a roll of tape and some scissors lying around somewhere. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting things and moving them around to find what we need. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If someone comes by, they usually just find us in the middle of working. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or big signs. The work is what matters, and we just try to keep things moving so the orders go out on time. It gets a bit cold in the winter because the door stays open a lot, but we just wear extra sweaters and keep going. That is just how the work is.
