Gumsani Handicrafts

We are located at R-260/11 in the Ramesh Park area of Laxmi Nagar. It’s a busy patch of Delhi where everyone seems to be making or selling something. Our space isn't very large, so we have to be clever with how we stack our inventory. Gumsani Handicrafts has been our daily reality for years now. The floor is usually covered in some kind of material, whether it’s wood shavings or fabric bits. We don't have a professional cleaning crew; we just tidy up ourselves before we head home. The building is old, and you can hear the sounds from the other units through the walls. It’s a very human place to work. We know the postman well, and he knows exactly where to leave the parcels even when we are busy in the back. There’s a ceiling fan that squeaks a bit, but we’ve stopped noticing it. Working in handicrafts means your hands are always moving. We don't spend much time on computers unless we have to. Most of the day is spent handling the items we make. It’s a bit cramped when a big shipment comes in, and we all have to squeeze past the crates. But it’s our space, and we’ve made it work for us despite the tight quarters and the noise of the Ramesh Park streets outside.
