Friends Chocolate

Friends Chocolate is based at 422 Guru Ramdas Nagar in the Jagatpuri area, not too far from Lakshmi Nagar. We are a small-scale operation that focuses on making and packing chocolates. It’s not a high-tech factory; mostly we do everything by hand. The room is usually filled with the smell of cocoa and sugar, which is nice but can be overwhelming after eight hours. We have rows of trays where the chocolates sit to cool down. During the festival season, the whole place becomes a bit of a madhouse with boxes piled everywhere and family members coming in to help with the wrapping. We don't have a fancy shopfront with glass displays. People usually come to us because they heard about us from a neighbor or a friend. We make different kinds of gift packs, mostly for local weddings or small parties. Sometimes the wrapping paper rolls get tangled or we run out of a certain type of nut, and we just have to make do. We aren't trying to compete with the big brands you see in the malls. We are just a local setup providing something sweet for the people around here. The floor can get a bit sticky, so we are constantly cleaning. It’s hard work, and our backs often ache by the end of the day, but it’s a good business to be in. We just take it one order at a time without any big corporate plans.
