You can find us at U-157-B on the first floor in the Upadhay Block of Shakarpur. It’s a busy neighborhood in Delhi where the buildings are close together and there’s always something happening on the street. Dhanad Food Products Private Limited operates out of a few rooms here. It’s a typical urban setup with stairs that are a bit narrow, which makes moving the heavier bags a bit of a challenge sometimes. We’ve gotten used to it over time, though. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. We mostly handle dry goods and various food products that don't need fancy cooling. It’s a lot of counting and checking labels. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. Usually, it's just one of us sitting at the old wooden table writing out what needs to be done. The fans hum in the background, and we can hear the neighbors going about their lives next door. It’s a very local feel. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide a place for these food products to be stored and managed before they head out to the shops. Every day is pretty much the same routine of checking the inventory and talking to the drivers who come to pick up the loads. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We just make sure the tallies match up at the end of the day before we lock up. Shakarpur is a loud place, but once you're inside the building, it's a bit quieter. We've got a small kettle for making coffee, and we usually take our lunch together at the big table in the back.
