Bikaner Sweets

We have been here at Shop-7 in the Pocket-H Market area of Savita Vihar for quite a while now. Most mornings start early around here, getting things ready before the neighborhood really wakes up. It is a busy little spot, especially when people are coming home from work and want something sweet to take back. We try to keep things simple and just focus on making the stuff people like to eat every day. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the shop, but that is just how it is in this market. My family has been doing this kind of work for a long time, so it feels natural to be behind the counter. We see the same faces every week, neighbors who have been living around Savita Vihar for years. It is nice when someone comes in just to say hello or ask how the day is going. We don't really do much fancy stuff, just the regular sweets you expect to find. The fridge is usually full, and we try to keep the trays topped up as much as we can throughout the afternoon. If you are walking through the market, you probably know where we are tucked away. It isn't a very big place, but it serves its purpose for the local crowd. We just keep our heads down and get the work done, making sure the milk is fresh and the sugar is right. That is about it for us. We are just local people serving our local neighborhood.
