Aggarwal Sweets Centre

Aggarwal Sweets Centre has been operating at I P Extension 25 for a long time. Our day starts way before most people are even awake. The milk truck comes by early, and that is when we start the fires in the back to get the big pans going. It’s a lot of standing around in the heat, stirring the milk and getting the syrups ready. By the time the shutters go up, the first batch of sweets is usually sitting on the counter. We are right in the middle of a residential block, so we get a lot of families. In the mornings, people stop by for their breakfast on their way to the office or to drop the kids off at school. It is a busy little shop, and it can get quite cramped when there is a holiday coming up. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most of what we do is just serving the people who walk through the door. We have a few workers who have been with us for years, and we all just know our roles. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff by midday, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It is an honest living, and we just focus on making the sweets like we always have in this neighborhood. We don't have a lot of space for seating, so most people just grab their boxes and go. It can get pretty loud with the fans and the workers calling out orders, but that’s just part of the daily life here in IP Extension. We just keep at it.
