A P Handicrafts

Our place, A P Handicrafts, is located at 129-A on Street Number 5. This is in East Azad Nagar, which is part of the Krishna Nagar area. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s not as loud as the main markets. We have a small workshop here where we spend most of our daylight hours. The street is narrow, and sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting all the way to our door. We’ve been in this same spot for quite some time. The room we work in has high ceilings and a lot of shelves that we built ourselves. They are packed with all sorts of bits and pieces. We don’t have a big fancy website or a marketing department. If you want to see what we are doing, you usually have to just come by and take a look. We like the quiet of this street compared to the busier parts of Delhi. It lets us focus on the work at hand. Sometimes the local kids play cricket right outside, and we have to make sure they don’t break a window. We drink a lot of chai and talk about what needs to be finished by the end of the week. It’s not a complicated life. We make things with our hands and hope people like them. We aren’t trying to grow into some giant company. We just want to keep doing what we’re doing right here in Krishna Nagar.
