We are based in Durgapur, over in West Bengal, India. Being here in an industrial town like Durgapur means there is always something going on. Lafarge India Private Limited is the name on the door, and we’ve been part of this community for some time now. It’s not the most exciting place in the world, but it’s where we do our work every day. The weather can get quite humid being in this part of India, but the people are hardworking and keep things moving. We don't go in for big speeches or polished presentations. We just show up and do what needs doing. The streets around here are often busy with traffic and workers. It feels like a real, living place. Most people in town know the name, as it’s a big part of the local economy. We have our office set up to handle the daily tasks that come with being in West Bengal. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It is just a group of us working under the Lafarge name. Sometimes the coffee in the breakroom is okay, and sometimes it isn’t, but that’s just how it goes. If you are in Durgapur, you probably see our trucks or our staff around quite a bit. It’s a solid place to be based and we are glad to be here. We keep it simple and get the job done without too much fuss. There's plenty of work to keep us occupied and out of trouble.
