Kodaikanal Public School

Our school is over in Kodaikanal, and if you need to send us anything, it goes to P B No 46. Being up in the hills means the weather is always changing. One minute it is sunny, and the next, the mist rolls in and you can’t see anything. The school is spread out over a bit of land, so there is plenty of walking to do between the different buildings. We have been here for a long while now. We have students who come from all over, and many of them stay in our hostels. The routine is pretty much the same every day. We have the morning bell, then classes, then lunch. The dining hall is a busy place where everyone catches up. We have a lot of greenery around us, which is nice, but it also means we have to do a lot of maintenance to keep the damp out of the buildings. Our classrooms are basic and functional. We don't have a lot of expensive equipment, but we have enough for the kids to learn. In the evenings, the students have some time to themselves before dinner. It’s a very calm atmosphere once the school day ends. We have a small group of teachers who live on the campus too. We just try to provide a steady environment for the students. It’s a lot of work running a place like this in a remote spot.
