Good Shepherd School

Our school is situated at 7th Middle Street in the Anbunagar Extension part of Tirunelveli. It’s a bit of a maze back here in these streets, but the local families know exactly where we are. We provide schooling for kids in the neighborhood, and it’s a very quiet, residential kind of atmosphere. The building is modest and we try to keep it as a safe, welcoming place for the children. We don't have a massive campus with sports fields, but we make use of the space we have for various activities. Inside, the classrooms are simple with wooden benches and plenty of windows to let the breeze in. The teachers are mostly local residents who care about the kids like they were their own. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just teach the lessons, help the kids with their homework, and make sure they are learning what they need to know. It’s a bit of a tight-knit community here in Thyagaraja Nagar, and we are glad to be a part of it. The school day usually starts early and by the time it gets hot in the afternoon, the kids are heading home. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide a decent education for the children right here in our corner of Tirunelveli. It’s a small, practical place that serves the families living around here.
