We are right on the Main Road in Neikkarapatti, Dindigul. If you know this area, you know it’s a lot of open space and farms once you get away from the main stretch. The school is a big part of the local community here in 624615. We have been operating out of this building for quite some time. It’s a matric higher secondary school, so we have everyone from little kids to the older ones about to finish their studies. The building is painted in a way that’s easy to spot from the road. Inside, it’s mostly just long hallways and classrooms with big windows to let the breeze in. Dindigul can get really hot, so we rely on those windows and the old ceiling fans. The playground is mostly open ground where we have the morning prayers and some sports when it’s not too sunny. The teachers here have been with us for years, and they know most of the families in the village by name. It’s not a corporate type of place; it’s more like a local landmark. We have a small library that’s a bit cramped, but the kids seem to like it. Most of the furniture is made of wood and looks a bit worn down, but it’s sturdy enough. We just go about our business every day, teaching the kids and making sure they’re safe until their parents pick them up.
