Uday Bar

We are located in the Janata Bazar area of Anchatgeri, which is a part of Hubli. The bar is a very straightforward place for the local men to come and have a drink. We do not have any fancy lights or music playing. It is just a room with some tables and chairs where you can sit and talk. Most of our customers are people who work in the market or live in the nearby houses. We have been here for many years and the building shows its age a bit. We do not mind that, and neither do the regulars. It is a place where everyone knows each other, so there is always a lot of conversation about local news or the weather. We keep a limited stock of drinks, just the ones that people around here usually ask for. Running a bar in a place like Janata Bazar means you have to be ready for anything. Sometimes it gets a bit rowdy, but we know how to handle it. We just keep the glasses clean and the bottles ready. It is a small business and we do not try to make it more than it is. We open up in the evening and stay until things quiet down. It is a steady way to make a living and we are happy to be a part of the local scene here in this part of the city.
