Gufha Restaurant

Gufha Restaurant is part of The President Hotel in Hubli. We are situated at Sreenagar Cross on P B Road, right across from Unakal Lake. It is a good spot because people like to walk by the lake and then come over for a meal. Like the name suggests, the interior is done up to look like a cave. It’s pretty dark inside with lots of shadows and fake stone. We have some tribal-looking decorations and stuff hanging from the ceiling. It’s a bit of a climb or a walk depending on where you park your car. The staff here has to be careful not to trip in the dim light when they are carrying trays of food. We serve a mix of things, but most people come for the experience of sitting in a cave in the middle of Hubli. The lake view from the hotel is nice, though you can't see it once you are inside the restaurant itself. It gets busy on Saturday nights with college students and local families. We try to keep the place clean, but those crannies in the "rocks" can be a bit of a pain to dust. It’s a simple operation really. We just want people to have their food and enjoy the weird atmosphere we have going on here. The kitchen stays open late to make sure everyone gets fed.
