Ashoka Bar And Restaurant

Ashoka Bar And Restaurant is located in the A L Kabadi Building in Akkipet. We are right near the main bus stand in Dharwad, which is why we get a lot of people who are just coming into town or waiting for their next bus. It is a very basic bar. We have some wooden booths and some tables out in the open. The lighting is a bit dim, which some people like after a long day of work. We serve drinks and some food to go with it, mostly spicy snacks and some rice dishes. I have been managing the place for a while. It can get pretty rowdy on weekend nights, but we usually manage to keep things under control. The building is quite old and you can see some cracks in the walls, but it’s sturdy enough. We don't have any fancy cocktails or expensive wines. It’s just the regular stuff that working men like. The kitchen is small and tucked away in the back. We have a couple of boys who serve the tables. It’s a lot of running back and forth from the kitchen to the booths. The bus stand nearby means there is always a lot of dust and noise, but that’s just part of being in this location. We don't do any advertising. People know we are here if they want to sit down and have a drink in peace. It’s not a polished place, but it serves its purpose. We keep the prices low because our customers work hard.
