Triveni Bar & Restaurant

Out here on University Road in Dharwad, things usually move at a steady pace. Our place, Triveni Bar & Restaurant, is located near Saptapura Bhavi, which is a landmark most people in this part of town know well. Since we are so close to the university, we get a real mix of people coming in. You have the older residents who have lived in Dharwad for decades and then the students who are just here for a few years. It makes for a loud and lively atmosphere most evenings. We aren't trying to be a high-end lounge or anything like that. It’s just a bar and a place to eat where you can talk and not worry about being too quiet. The building is older, but it has stayed solid through all the seasons. We serve local food that goes well with a cold drink, and we don't put any fancy names on the menu items. It’s just what it is. The guys working here have been through hundreds of busy Friday nights and they know how to handle a crowd. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets blocked by a local festival, but we just keep the doors open and the lights on as best as we can. It’s a reliable spot for anyone looking to unwind after a long day of classes or work. We like being part of the University Road community.
