Sri Durga Darshini

We are located right in the hotel building on KUD Road, which is pretty close to the Dharwad railway station. If you walk past Pawan School, you will see us there in the Barakotri area. It is a good spot because the kids from the school are always walking by, making a lot of noise and laughing. Dharwad has a nice feel to it, not too fast but not too slow either. We open up the Darshini early because people catching the morning trains need their coffee and a quick bite. The air is often a bit dusty from the road work, but we keep the counters wiped down. I usually sit near the cash counter and watch the street. You see all sorts of people—travelers with big bags, teachers from the school, and locals who just want to read the newspaper. We have a simple routine here. The kitchen staff comes in first, then the cleaning, then the doors open. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it feels good to have a steady place. We do not have any fancy lights or soft chairs. It is just a place to stand or sit for a minute while you eat. The station is so near that we always know when a train is about to leave because of the sudden rush of people looking at their watches. That is just how life goes for us here in Dharwad.
