Sri Annapurneshwari Khanavali

Running Sri Annapurneshwari Khanavali keeps us on our feet all day. We are located at Hig-2 Akshay Park, right on Gokul Road here in Hubli. This place is pretty simple, nothing too special to look at from the outside. We serve the kind of meals people expect in North Karnataka. Most of our regulars are folks working nearby or people just passing through Gokul Road who need a decent meal. The kitchen opens early so we can get the rotis and vegetables ready for the lunch rush. It gets quite crowded around one o’clock and it can get a bit noisy with everyone talking at once. We don't really do decorations or anything like that. We just have tables and chairs and we keep the floor clean. My family helps out with the cooking and serving because it's hard to find good help these days. We’ve been at this spot in Akshay Park for a while now and most people know where to find us. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the day is busier than we expected, which happens. We just make what we can and try to serve it fresh. It’s a plain business, really. We just show up every morning, light the stoves, and start the day. Hubli is a busy place and Gokul Road always has traffic, so there is never a dull moment. We just hope folks leave with a full stomach and come back soon.
