Nandini Family Restaurant

Nandini Family Restaurant is situated in Keshawapur, Hubli, which is very close to the Railway Divisional Office. Because we are so near the office, we get a lot of the staff coming in for their lunch breaks. It’s a busy time for us, and the kitchen gets really frantic for those few hours. We’ve been in Hubli for a good while, and we like being part of the Keshawapur neighborhood. Families often come by in the evenings when they want a meal out without having to travel too far into the center of town. The kids can be a bit noisy, running between the tables, but we don't really mind as long as everyone is having a good time. We keep the place simple with basic tables and some local decor on the walls. It’s not a five-star place, but it’s clean and the food is what people like. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the day is busier than we expected, which can be a bit embarrassing. We just try to do better the next day. The monsoon season in Hubli can make things a bit difficult with the dampness, but we keep the fans going to stay dry. I spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who have been coming here since we first opened. It’s those connections that make the long hours feel like they are worth it in the end.
