Malgudis

Malgudis is located in the Uppar Building, which is right behind the BVB back gate in Vidyanagar. Since we are so close to the college gate, we see a lot of students and teachers walking by every single day. Hubli is a busy place, and Vidyanagar is one of those areas that never really seems to quiet down much. We started this place to give people a spot to grab something to eat without any fuss. The building itself is easy to find if you know the back entrance of the college. Inside, it is pretty basic with just enough room for people to sit and talk. You can hear the sounds of the street and the students chatting nearby. We do not spend much time on fancy advertising or anything like that. Most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from a friend. We have been here in Vidyanagar for a while, and we have seen the area change quite a bit over the years. Even with all the new buildings popping up, we just keep doing what we do. It is a simple life running a small eatery. We open up, get the food ready, and wait for the crowd to show up. It is mostly a lot of repetitive work, but we like being part of the local scene here in Hubli. The daily grind keeps us on our toes and we like seeing the familiar faces.
