Our hotel is right at Sangam Circle in Dharwad, in the Savaji building. We are directly opposite the Jyothi Lodge. If you know this part of town, you know it stays busy. We specialize in Savaji style food, which is what we grew up with. It is not the kind of place where you get fancy napkins or soft music. It’s a local spot. The kitchen uses a lot of spices, and the smell of the cooking usually fills the whole room. We have basic tables and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we spend more time on the stove than on decorations. People come here because they want that specific Savaji taste that’s hard to find in big chain restaurants. It’s a small operation. My family and a couple of helpers run everything from the morning prep to the cleaning at night. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just open the doors and people show up. Sometimes it gets quite warm inside when the stoves are all going, but we have fans. It’s just a normal, honest place to get a meal if you’re passing through the circle or staying nearby. We’ve been here for years and haven’t changed much. It's just a place for food.
