Umarbannaturals Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Kuwad, which is a small part of the Dharampuri area in Dhar. You can usually find us around Bhana Lal Bhimaji’s place. We are just a bunch of local growers who realized that working alone wasn't getting us very far. The company is our way of pooling what we have. It’s not a very formal environment here. Most of our meetings happen under a tree or in someone’s front yard. We talk about the crops, the water levels, and who is growing what this season. Being in Dhar, we have certain crops that do well, and we try to stick to what the land knows. We call it Umarbannaturals because we wanted to keep things simple and stay away from too many artificial inputs. It’s hard work, and sometimes the prices in the mandi aren't what we hoped for, but having the company gives us a bit more strength. We are just regular people, sons and daughters of farmers who have been here for generations. There is no big mystery to how we run things. We just try to be fair with each other and make sure every member gets a say. If you're passing through Dharampuri, you might see us working in the fields or hauling stuff to the collection point. We're just trying to make a living and keep the farm tradition going without losing money every year.
