Our group, Dhar Baramandal Mp Farmer Producer Company Limited, is based right out of Mangilal Nanda’s place in Village Baramandal. It’s a small operation, mostly just a bunch of us from the village coming together. We didn't want anything too complicated, so we set up shop right here where we live and work. Usually, you’ll find someone hanging around the porch or the front room talking about the latest harvest or what the prices are doing. It's a real local thing. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls; it’s just a house in the village. This makes it easier for the other farmers to stop by when they’re passing through. Baramandal is home for us, and this company is just our way of working together instead of everyone doing everything on their own. It gets messy sometimes, especially when the rains are late or the paperwork piles up on the kitchen table, but we manage. Mangilal doesn't mind us using the space. We mostly talk about seeds, fertilizers, and how to get a better deal for what we grow. It’s plain and simple work. No one here is wearing a tie. We’re usually in our work clothes, ready to head back to the fields once the meeting is done. It’s just how things are done here in the village. It isn't perfect, but it’s how we get things moving for everyone involved.
