Badnawar Krushi Vikas Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Tilgara. We run things from Jankilal Mangilal’s place. It’s a small operation, mostly just a group of us from around the village who wanted to work together. Being in Tilgara means we are right in the middle of everything we grow. It is a quiet spot, but we stay busy with the day-to-day stuff. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out before we can get back to the computer work. It is not fancy by any means. There are sacks of stuff moved around and people coming in and out all day. We spend a lot of time talking about the soil and what the next season might look like. Jankilal is usually around if someone needs to drop off papers or ask a question about the harvest. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us, some chairs, and a lot of talk about farming. We try to help each other out when the prices are low or the rain doesn't come when it should. It’s hard work, and the days are long, especially when the harvest is in full swing. But this is how we live here, and we’ve gotten used to the pace of things.
