New Khalsa Bar & Restaurant

Our place is located right on G T Road in Govindpur, near the Ratanpura area of Dhanbad. It’s a prime spot for travelers and truckers who are moving along the highway. Because we have the bar, the atmosphere gets a bit more lively in the evenings when people are finishing their work for the day. It’s a big building, but we mainly use the ground floor for the restaurant and the bar area. The furniture is heavy and built to last, which is good because we get a lot of use out of it. We’ve had some of the same customers coming here for years now. They usually have their favorite corner where they like to sit and talk. The kitchen stays open late to accommodate people arriving at odd hours from the road. It’s often hot and smoky back there, but the cooks are used to it. We don't do anything too fancy with the decor, just enough to make it comfortable for a long break. Sometimes the highway traffic gets backed up right outside, and we get a sudden surge of people. We just do our best to handle it. It's a tough business and the hours are long, but we like being a part of this community. We focus on the basics and making sure everyone has what they need before they head back out.
