SAHYOGI RESTAURANT

Started Sahyogi Restaurant here in Sector 2 a while back. It’s right near Bigbazar in K G Ashram, so it gets pretty busy on the weekends when folks are out shopping. We spend most of our mornings just getting things ready for the lunch rush. Dhanbad can be quite dusty, so there is a lot of cleaning to do every single day before the first person walks through the door. It is just me and a couple of guys in the kitchen. We aren't doing anything fancy, just standard food that people in Sahyogi nagar like to eat. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to manage with what we have. People usually stop by for a quick lunch or pick something up on their way home from work. It’s a plain space, nothing fancy on the walls, just tables and chairs that do the job. My cousin helped with the signs when we first opened up. We know most of the people who come in by their names now. It is nice to see the same faces every day. We try to keep things simple. If the food tastes a bit different one day, that’s just how the cooking went. We do our work and go home. That’s about it for us here near K G Ashram. It's just a local spot for local people looking for a meal.
