Option 7th Milestone Restaurant

We are located out in Bhuiphod, which is a bit of a distance from the main center of Dhanbad. Being right beside Dhanbad Public School means we see a lot of school buses and parents throughout the day. The name of the place comes from the distance, and it feels like a bit of a landmark for people driving along the highway. The building is large and a bit plain on the outside, with a parking area that’s mostly just gravel and dirt. Inside, the ceiling is high, which helps keep it cool when the Jharkhand heat gets to be too much in the summer. We have a lot of tables, and sometimes they aren't all perfectly aligned, but there is plenty of room to move around. The kitchen is tucked away in the back, and you can hear the clatter of pots and pans throughout the afternoon. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations, just some plain curtains and standard lights. The staff lives nearby, and we all just walk or bike to work every morning to get the place opened up. It’s a quiet routine for the most part, except for when the school lets out and the road gets clogged with traffic. We just keep the water jugs full and the menus wiped down. There’s no big philosophy behind what we do. We just open the doors and make sure there’s a place for people to sit down when they’re passing through Bhuiphod.
