Hype Club

Hype Club is right in the middle of everything at Connaught Place on Ashoka Road, number 19. It’s a different kind of world inside compared to the street outside. During the day, we’re mostly cleaning up from the night before, moving chairs around, and checking the sound system. It takes a lot of effort to get a place like this ready for the evening. We have to make sure the lights are working and the bar is stocked up with everything. When the sun goes down, the vibe changes completely and the music starts getting louder. Ashoka Road is usually pretty grand and quiet with all the big buildings, but our spot brings a lot of noise and people. We have a lot of staff running around making sure people have what they need and that things don't get too out of hand. It’s a lot of fast-paced work, and it can get pretty tiring standing on the floor for eight or nine hours. You see a lot of people dressed up for a night out, and it’s always interesting to watch everyone dancing and having a good time. We don't really have time to talk much once it gets busy, we just keep our heads down and do our jobs. It’s a lot of bass and flashing lights until the early hours of the morning. Then we close up and do it all again.
