Sheel Traders

Our business, Sheel Traders, is located at 229 in Azad Market. It’s a general trading house where we handle all sorts of supplies. The shop is usually full of boxes and crates. We don’t specialize in just one thing; we carry whatever the local demand is for the season. It might be household goods one month and something else the next. The space is a bit cramped because we try to stock as much as possible. It’s a busy atmosphere with people constantly asking for prices and checking out the goods. I spend most of my time behind the small counter, trying to keep the accounts straight. The noise from the street is constant since Azad Market is always moving. We have a couple of delivery boys who help with the heavy lifting and getting orders out to the nearby shops. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the inventory matches what we have on the shelves. Sometimes we find stuff at the back of the store that we forgot we had. We don't have a fancy logo or a big staff. It's just a family-run operation. We know the other shopkeepers around here, and we all help each other out when needed. It’s a tough way to make a living with all the competition, but we’ve managed to stay at this spot for quite a while. We just keep going one day at a time.
