Satya Traders

Finding us at House Number 9116 in Gali Number 3 can be a bit tricky if you aren't from around here. Paharganj is always crowded and Multani Dhanda has so many narrow lanes that look exactly the same. But once you get to our door at Satya Traders, you’ll see we are just a small group of people working in the middle of all that New Delhi noise. We have been in this spot for quite a while. Most mornings start with a quick tea from the stall at the end of the alley before we open the shutters. The space is packed with stock from floor to ceiling so there isn't much room to move around. We handle orders as they come in and talk to people on the phone all day. It’s a busy life but we like being right in the heart of the city. You see all sorts of people passing by the window. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It isn't a glossy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a place where we trade and keep things moving. We know the neighbors and the delivery guys well. If you come by, you’ll probably find us sorting through crates or checking lists. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. This is just our way of life.
