Royal Aluminium & Hardware

Royal Aluminium & Hardware is over at Plot No. G-143 in Dilshad Colony. We are right opposite the Jama Masjid, so you can’t really miss us if you’re in the area. The shop is filled with aluminum sections, window frames, and various hardware bits. It’s quite loud here sometimes because of the cutting and the traffic on the main road. We do a lot of work with our hands. People come in with measurements scribbled on scraps of paper, and we try to figure out what they need. It’s a bit messy, with metal shavings on the floor, but we sweep up every evening. We aren't trying to be a big showroom. It’s a workshop as much as it is a store. I’ve been working with metal for years, and my hands show it. We have a few guys helping out with the heavy lifting because those aluminum beams are longer than they look. The tea stall nearby keeps us going during the long afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out. It’s part of the job. Most of our customers are contractors or people trying to fix up their own apartments in the colony. We don’t do fancy talk. We just tell you what the material costs and how long it’ll take. It’s straightforward work. We like the neighborhood, and being near the mosque means there's always someone around to talk to.
