Chandni Chowk is always a mess but it's home to us. We are tucked away at Atma Ram Building in the Chah Indara area. It's a crowded spot and the air is always full of noise. We've seen shops come and go over the years. Bhaghirath Palace is the landmark most people know around here. We just do our daily work and don't worry about being fancy. The office walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We keep the books and handle the papers while people drop by for a chat. The tea man knows our order by heart now. We sit in room 2103/312 which is a bit small but it works for what we need. We've been here a long time and we don't change much. Just showing up and doing the job is what we do. Sometimes the lights flicker in the hallway because these are old buildings. That is just how it is. We know all the shortcuts through the narrow alleys to save time. If you're looking for us just ask anyone near the palace area. Most of the old-timers know where the syndicate sits. We aren't trying to be big or famous. We are just steady and that is the way we like it. The fan makes a bit of clicking noise in the summer. We don't mind it much. It’s a simple life in a very busy market. We see the same faces every morning and it’s nice being part of it.
