Journey Planets

Journey Planets is run out of House No. 1 on Street No. 1, right near the Airforce Camp in Rajokari. Because we are so close to the camp, the sound of planes is just part of our daily life here. Our office is just a converted room in the house with a couple of desks and some old computers that we use to look up travel details. It’s not a slick travel agency you’d find in a mall. There are no posters of tropical beaches covering every inch of the walls, just a few maps and a lot of notebooks where we scribble down flight times and prices. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking websites to find travel options for people in the neighborhood. It’s often frustrating when the internet is slow or the prices jump up right when we are about to book something. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy mission statements. We just try to help folks get their tickets and hotel stays sorted without too much stress. We’ve lived and worked in this part of Rajokari for a long time, so we know most of the families around here. People just drop by when they are thinking about a trip, and we sit down and see what’s possible. It’s a low-key operation and we like it that way. We just do the work and hope the trips go smoothly for everyone.
