Neelam Tourist Bus Service

Our office is tucked away in Sadar Bazar, Gali Bahuji, specifically at 4415 in Pahari Dhiraj. If you’ve ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know the streets are narrow and there’s always something happening with the carts and the crowds. Neelam Tourist Bus Service has been operating from this corner for a long time. We deal with buses mostly. Managing schedules and making sure drivers are where they need to be is what our day looks like. It’s noisy outside with all the rickshaws and loaders, but we’re used to it. The office is small and filled with registers. We still write a lot of things down by hand because it’s faster than the old computer we have. People come in from the market to book seats or ask about departure times. It’s a very local operation. We know most of the other shopkeepers around Gali Bahuji. Sometimes the traffic makes it hard for the buses to get close, so we have to coordinate a lot over the phone. It’s a lot of manual work and talking to people face-to-face. We don't have a website that does everything for you automatically; we prefer just talking to the person directly. It’s more honest that way. Our family has been around this part of Delhi for ages. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day, from early morning until the last bus leaves the station.
