K R Travels

K R Travels is situated at Number 30 on Arakshan Road, over in the Ram Nagar part of Paharganj. If you’ve been to Paharganj, you know it's a hectic place with people from all over the world walking around. Our shop is right in the middle of that energy. We mostly help folks who are arriving at the railway station and need a place to go next. We do a lot of taxi bookings and train reservations. The office is small and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We have a couple of old wooden desks and some stools for people to sit on while we check the availability. My cousins and I take turns being here. We know the train schedules by heart at this point. It’s a lot of work dealing with the crowds and the noise outside, but we’ve been on Arakshan Road long enough that it feels like home. We don't have a website that does everything for you because we prefer talking to people face to face. It’s easier to explain things that way. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Delhi. We just want to make sure the person standing in front of us gets their ticket and knows which platform to go to. It’s a simple business built on just being here every day and knowing the local area.
