Shemrock Rainbow

Our school is over at 491 Indira Nagar in Dehradun. It is a nice enough spot, though the roads around here can get a little crowded during the peak hours when everyone is heading to work. We are a preschool, so the age group is quite small, mostly toddlers and kids just starting out. Dehradun weather is usually okay, but when the monsoon hits, things get a bit damp and we have to keep all the activities strictly indoors to keep the floors clean. The building is a typical setup for this neighborhood. We have different areas for the kids to play and sit, and the walls have some drawings they have made over the months. It is mostly about getting them used to a schedule before they go off to the bigger schools in the city. Some days are easier than others; if a few kids start crying, it can be a long morning for everyone involved. The staff stays busy cleaning up after snack time or helping the little ones with their shoes. We do not have any big corporate vibes here. It is just a local place where families from Indira Nagar drop their children off while they go about their day. We have been doing this for a bit now, and you get used to the noise and the constant energy. It is a practical, everyday kind of environment for the kids to spend their mornings in.
