Happy Home Montessori School

House No-55 on Dehradun Road is where we are located. Rishikesh is known for a lot of famous things, but we’re just a small Montessori school in a house. It’s called Happy Home, and it really is just that—a home that we turned into a place for young kids to learn. The traffic on Dehradun Road can be quite loud, especially during the tourist season when everyone is heading into the hills. We have a small yard where the children can play for a bit, but mostly we are inside the rooms. It’s a bit cramped sometimes because it’s an old house, but it feels cozy for the little ones. We don’t have a big corporate office or a board of directors. It’s just a few of us who like working with kids and live nearby. We spend the morning helping them with their shoes and teaching them simple things. The paint on the front gate is a bit faded from the sun and the rain. We have some plants in pots near the entrance to make it look nice. Most of the parents are our neighbors or people who live a few streets away. It’s a very local thing for the community. We don’t put out big ads or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve been here on the road for years. It’s just a simple place.
