You can find Dps Play School over in Vasant Vihar, Phase II, here in Dehradun. Our address is 144, and it’s a pretty quiet neighborhood, which is nice for a place full of little kids. We don’t have those huge shiny signs or expensive TV commercials. Instead, we just have our classrooms filled with toys, rugs, and colorful drawings on the walls. Most of our staff lives right here in Dehradun, so we understand the local pace of life. Every morning, we spend time getting the play areas ready and making sure everything is safe for the toddlers. It’s a lot of work, keeping up with small children all day, but we’ve gotten used to the noise and the energy. We don’t try to act like we’re part of some big chain; we’re just running this little play school the best way we know how. Sometimes the gate squeaks or we run out of art supplies, and we just have to run out and get more. Dealing with parents is a big part of the job, and we usually just chat with them at the door when they drop their kids off. It’s a very informal and honest way of doing things. We’ve been in Phase II for a while now, and it’s become a second home for us. We just keep things simple and focus on the day-to-day.
