Bachpan Play School

We’re tucked away in Lane No 3 of Mohit Nagar, right near Ballupur Chowk in Dehradun. House 195 is a familiar spot for the families living around here. It’s a residential area, so it’s a bit quieter than the main roads, which is nice for a school. The building is basically a house that’s been converted into a space for kids to spend their mornings. We have a small play area out front where the kids can run around a bit before the sun gets too high. Inside, the rooms are divided into different sections for playing and learning. You’ll see plenty of plastic blocks, colorful charts, and tiny chairs everywhere. The teachers here are mostly local women who enjoy working with small children. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere compared to a big high school. We don't have a rigid, cold feel; it’s more like a community spot. In Dehradun, the weather can be quite pleasant, so we try to let some fresh air in whenever we can. The mornings are filled with the sound of rhymes and kids talking to each other. We handle everything from snack time to helping with coats when it gets chilly. It’s a practical, down-to-earth place where we just focus on the children’s daily activities. No one is wearing suits or talking in corporate jargon. We’re just here in Mohit Nagar, doing our best to keep the little ones busy and safe.
