T Chakraborty

My place is over near Triveni More, in the Purva Vivekananda Pally area. It is right on Rabindra Sarani, which is a road many people in Siliguri use every single day. T Chakraborty is basically a small operation run out of this specific location. I don't have a big team or a fancy reception area with a sofa. It is just a room with enough space to get things done without being too cramped. The area around Triveni More is always humming with activity, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading back home. I have lived in this part of town for a long time, so I am used to the rhythm of the street and the neighbors. Sometimes I just sit by the door and watch the rickshaws go by when I am taking a short break from work. The office is pretty basic—just some old wooden furniture and a few metal cupboards for storage. I don't do much in the way of promotion or advertisements. People usually find me because someone they know told them where I am located. It is a very local, neighborhood-style way of doing things. I handle most things myself, from taking the phone calls to doing the actual work. It can be tiring, but I prefer it this way. You get to know your neighbors and the people who walk past the window every day. It feels grounded and real, without any of that corporate stuff.
