Dalmia Enterprises

You can find us over in Mahabirstan, quite close to the Siliguri Bazar. It’s one of those older parts of town where the lanes are narrow and everything feels a bit packed together. Dalmia Enterprises has been here for years, and the building shows it a little bit, but it’s sturdy. We have a lot of regulars who stop by because they’ve been dealing with us since my father’s time. The office is usually a bit of a mess with papers and samples, but we know where everything is. We don’t go in for anything too modern or sleek; we like our old desks and the way the light comes through the front window in the afternoon. Being near the bazaar means it’s always busy outside, which keeps things interesting. We handle a variety of things, but we don’t make a big deal out of it. It’s just honest work. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps if it's a slow afternoon and watch the crowd go by. We don't have a mission statement or a big philosophy. We just want to do right by the people who buy from us. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even when things get stressful during the peak seasons. If you’re wandering around the bazaar area, you’ll likely stumble upon us sooner or later. We just keep the doors open and get on with it.
