Auskar Pvt. Ltd. is based right out of the Belgachi Tea Estate in Naxbari. Being in the Darjeeling district, we are surrounded by greenery, which is a nice change from the crowded cities. Our daily life revolves around the estate. It’s not like an office job where you sit in a cubicle all day. We’re out here where the tea actually grows. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, with the mist rolling in and the heavy rains during the monsoon, but that’s just part of living in this part of West Bengal. The estate is a big place, and Naxbari is a quiet kind of town compared to Siliguri. We spend a lot of time making sure everything is running right with the processing and the workers. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the details. We don’t have fancy marketing teams or anything like that. Most of what we do is just traditional work that’s been done this way for a long time. The building we use for our main operations is older, with high ceilings and some rust on the roof, but it’s sturdy enough for what we need. It’s honest work, and we’re glad to be part of the tea community here. Every day is different depending on the harvest and the weather, but we just take it as it comes and keep the estate moving forward. There is always something to fix or a new batch of leaves to look at before the sun goes down.
