Inforex

Inforex is located over in Mirik Bazaar, which is a pretty specific part of Darjeeling. We are set up at Mr. A. K. Karwa’s place. If you know the 734214 area, you know it’s a bit of a climb to get up here sometimes, especially when the weather isn't great. We aren't some massive company with hundreds of employees. It’s more of a local operation where we handle things one at a time. The office is tucked away in the bazaar area, so it’s always lively outside with people buying things and talking. We’ve been here for a good bit now, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a few old chairs, and our filing system which we try to keep updated. Being in West Bengal, especially in the hills, means things move at a slightly different pace than in the big cities. We like that, though. It gives us time to actually talk to people who come by. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. This is just us telling you where we are and what it’s like. We handle a lot of information and exchange-related stuff, which keeps us busy enough throughout the week. Sometimes the power goes out when it rains hard, but we just wait it out and get back to work once it is back on.
