Skf Boilers & Driers Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Swaraj Maidan in Moodbidri. It is a large open area which is good because the machines we work on take up a lot of space. Making boilers and driers involves a lot of heavy metal and welding. You can hear the sound of hammers hitting steel throughout the day. It gets quite warm near the welding stations. We have a team of guys who have been with us since the beginning. We don't spend much time in the office because there is always something to check on the shop floor. The air smells like iron and burnt oil most of the time. We have a small shed where we keep the finished parts before they go out. Moodbidri is a nice town, and being near the Maidan means we have some space around us. We don't have any fancy corporate offices or glass walls. It is just a workshop with high ceilings and a lot of grease. When it rains, the sound on the metal roof is so loud you can't hear yourself think. We just keep our heads down and keep working until the job is finished. It’s a honest day's work for everyone here. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to make things that work like they are supposed to. Most of the people around here know what we do.
