Asian Fish Meal & Oil Co. operates out of Tropical Plaza on Goods Shed Road. Our office is No. 109 on the first floor. If you are looking for us, we also have Post Box No. 181 for the mail. Goods Shed Road is a heavy commercial area, so it is always loud with trucks and loaders. We deal with fish meal and oil, so as you can imagine, the work is pretty specific. We spend a lot of time coordinating with the suppliers at the coast and the buyers inland. The office at Tropical Plaza is where all the logistics happen. It is not a fancy place with carpets; it is more of a functional room for a trading business. We have a lot of ledgers and sample jars sitting around. Sometimes the smell of the fish meal follows us into the office. We do not try to hide what we do. It is an essential industry even if it is not glamorous. We have been here a long time and know most of the other businesses in the plaza. We do not have a website that does much; we just prefer to talk to people directly. It is just a few of us making sure the orders are right and the trucks are on time. We just keep the records and handle the calls. The day goes by quickly when there are boats coming in and trucks waiting to load.
